Product Description

An Ultrasonic Level Switch is a device used to measure the level of a substance (liquid or solid) within a container or tank using ultrasonic waves. It works on the principle of emitting high-frequency sound waves and measuring the time it takes for the sound waves to reflect off the surface of the material (such as a liquid or solid) and return to the sensor. Based on this time, the device calculates the distance to the surface and, consequently, the level of the material.

Working Principle:

  1. Emission of Ultrasonic Waves: The sensor emits ultrasonic pulses that travel through the air toward the surface of the material.

  2. Reflection: When these sound waves hit the material, they are reflected back to the sensor.

  3. Time-of-Flight Calculation: The sensor measures the time it takes for the ultrasonic waves to return. Using the speed of sound and the time-of-flight, the distance to the surface of the material is calculated.

  4. Level Determination: The device then converts the distance measurement into a corresponding level measurement.
